Montage from BWI airport park and Sandy Point

At the BWI playground

Panera lunch after a playground visit. Oliver and I switched sides, and meals, halfway through, because he coveted my macaroni and cheese.

Sandy Point beach on a mild April morning

We saw lots of ladybugs and other interesting beach bugs as we walked along the shore…

Oliver and I have had a couple of fun excursions in recent weeks. We visited the Thomas A. Dixon, Jr. Aircraft Observation Area, which features a pretty dumpy playground but a terrific observation deck for incoming airplanes. We also took our first of what I expect will be many trips in 2022 to Sandy Point State Park, one of my favorite parks in the area (which features, in addition to a sandy beach and an unobstructed view of the Bay Bridge, a really cool playground with a crab shack theme). We also saw the Ever Forward (I think), together with its rescue boats.

Not a park or playground: this is the magnolia in our backyard, which Oliver has mastered.
