Photos from our family visit today to the Walker Mill Regional Park in Prince George’s County. The weather was a balmy 50-something, and Oliver had a blast at the Woodland Wonderland playground, one of the recently renovated playgrounds in the county that includes everything from a piano key bridge to a gnome that cracks knock-knock jokes to the longest playground slide I’ve ever seen.

Other fun features: a natural rock wall that leads to one of many slides; a very tall ladder (which Oliver climbed with ease) to a tunnel slide attached to a windmill; a solar charger for moms and dads who burn through iPhone batteries on the drive down; and a misting ground for summer cooldowns.

Takes forever to get to Capitol Heights from Baltimore, and the route is pretty complicated—but well worth the drive. We’ll be back in the warm weather!
